Register of Limited Liability Partnership:

The Register of Limited Liability Partnerships is a register of those relevant businesses who have been authorised to operate as a limited liability partnership (LLP).


LLPs are required, under section 126(3) of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015, to inform the LSRA if a particular entered in the register is incorrect.

If an LLP wishes to alter their membership, they should send an email to the address above requesting the prescribed Membership Alteration form.


Any LLP intending to cease operating as an LLP should contact the LSRA at the email address above requesting a Cessation Notification Form.

Limited Liability Partnerships

Following detailed preparation work undertaken by the LSRA to establish the enabling framework for the introduction of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP), the Minister for Justice and Equality signed the necessary commencement order to commence Chapter 3 of Part 8 of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 on the 7th of October 2019.


The Chief Executive and Chairperson of the LSRA have now signed the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 (Limited Liability Partnerships) (Section 130) Regulations 2019 (S.I. No. 519/2019), which can be found on the Irish Statute Book website at


The Registration, Levy and Fees Unit of the LSRA is now accepting requests for application forms from partnerships of solicitors to operate as an LLP. Requests can be made by email to or by sending a hard-copy letter to:
