Legal partnerships (LPs) are a new business structure for barristers, or barristers and solicitors, introduced in autumn 2024. Barristers’ Anti-Money Laundering Obligations
Barristers are “designated persons” under the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010, as amended. The LSRA is the competent authority for all barristers under that legislation. You can learn more about the LSRA’s role and barristers’ obligations here.
