Professional Codes

The Authority has the power to issue codes of practice for legal professionals where this is necessary to set and improve standards for the provision of legal services.

After reviewing a professional code, the Authority may also issue a notice directing the relevant professional body to amend the code.

The Legal Services Regulatory Authority invites written submissions from practising barristers who are not members of the Law Library to submit their view on the proposed Code of Practice for Practising Barristers pursuant to section 22(3) of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015.

The LSRA is engaging directly with the professional bodies (the Bar of Ireland, the Honorable Society of the King’s Inns, the Law Society) in relation to the draft Code of Practice and may engage with such other interested parties as the Authority considers appropriate.

Tá ÚRSD i mbun teagmháil dhíreach leis na comhlachtaí gairmiúla (Barra na hÉireann, Cumann Onórach Óstaí an Rí, agus an Dlí-Chumann) i ndáil leis an dréacht-Chód Cleachtais, agus d’fhéadfadh sé dul i mbun teagmhála le cibé páirtithe leasmhara eile is cuí leis an Údarás.
