Contacting the LSRA
In line with the restrictions introduced by the Government to suppress the transmission of Covid-19 in the country, the Legal Services Regulatory Authority is operating under remote working arrangements until further notice.
Complaints Service
We are still receiving and investigating complaints. We have adjusted our service due to the Covid-19 restrictions. Our telephone service is operating with a mobile phone number and there is no facility to leave voice messages.
We can be contacted by phone:
- From Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays)
- From 10:00-12:30 and from 14.30-16:00
- On telephone: 087-2199100
Should you require to speak to someone regarding an existing complaint, please send an e-mail to [email protected] citing the LSRA Complaints Reference Number. A member of the Complaints and Resolutions Unit will get back to you as soon as practicable.
If you wish to make a new complaint, please use the on-line complaints form available here. The form should be completed in Word format and e-mailed to [email protected] e-mail. For further information, go to our Complaints Page.
General Queries
If you have a general query, please contact the office on [email protected]. A number of staff are remotely monitoring the receipt of e-mails. However, their capacity to comprehensively reply to queries and requests will be limited.
Limited Liability Partnerships
The LSRA is continuing to process applications from solicitor partnerships for LLP authorisation.
Applications for authorisation to operate as LLPs, membership alteration or cessation, and related queries, should be made by e-mail in the normal manner to [email protected]
Roll of Practising Barristers
Applications, requests for amendments or voluntary removal or queries in relation to the Roll of Practising Barristers can be made by e-mail in the normal manner to [email protected]
Urgent Queries: Should you have an urgent inquiry please send the details by e-mail to the relevant one of the addresses supplied above, and we will do what we can to address the issue.
Post: We request that where possible you do not send anything to the LSRA via the postal service at this time. There may be a delay in the receipt of and processing of items sent in the post and we request that as far as possible all correspondence with the LSRA should be via e-mail.
These necessary changes are implemented as we prioritise the safety of our staff at this time. Once the restrictions have been lifted or sufficiently altered, the LSRA team will deal with any backlog of queries or complaints that may arise. Your patience and understanding in these matters is greatly appreciated.
