Advertisements by solicitors and barristers of their legal services are now regulated by the LSRA under the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 (Advertising) Regulations 2020.
The Advertising Regulations 2020 came into operation today, 18 December 2020.
The issuing of the Advertising Regulations by the LSRA follows the commencement of section 218(1), (2) and (4) to (8) of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 on 16 December 2020 and the commencement of other sections of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 on 18 December 2020.

Notice for Legal Practitioners:
Under the regulations, solicitors and barristers are now regulated under the same rules by the LSRA.

Notice for Consumers:
Consumers who have concerns that an advertisement for legal services breaches the rules as set out in the Advertising Regulations can notify the LSRA.
We will consider concerns and may choose to investigate.
